I headed north across Kinder from the top of Golden Clough, until this towering peat grough led me out onto Blackden Edge above the Woodlands Valley.
The same grough just before it emerged onto the hillside
North-east across the Woodlands Valley
Huge limestone slabs above Seal Edge
Some of the limestone slabs seemed to tumble in all directions
Rock pool, with the rocks that formed it
Me and some rocks. A little later on, I met a man whose first greeting was "That's a really striking shirt!"
Just some rocks
I think this is "The" Edge
Looking across Black Ashop Moor
Coldharbour Moor and (I think) Glossop Low in the far distance
I just loved the shape of these rocks - like a natural Gaudi house
Kinder Downfall: barely a trickle of water today, though the riverbed tells of raging torrents after heavy rain
