Snowdon: The 2nd Anniversary Wendy Cronin Memorial Mountain Walk
On 17 October 2009, one day after Wendy's 65th birthday and a week after the second anniversary of her death, a small group of friends and family set off to climb Snowdon in honour of her memory. Ben and I went up by Crib Goch, and most of these photos feature his ascent. We met the rest of the party at the top and toasted Wendy with the sloe gin she helped make shortly before she died. Also present were: Beryl and Jeffrey, Graham, Sue, Jane, Tim and Harvey. I'd put the camera away by then so there is no record of the summit group. I don't think Wendy would have minded too much - she'd probably have said "sod the view, can we go to the cafe now?" She might even have added "shall we go down on the train?" Jenny, Paul and Rosa joined us at the pub and then back at the barn there was a lot of music and laughter. Wendy would definitely have approved...
